Premier League Interactive Analytics Dashboard (2009–10 to 2018–19) | Power BI
This project presents an interactive Power BI dashboard built using Premier League match data from the 2009–10 to 2018–19 seasons, covering 3,630 matches with detailed match-level attributes such as home and away teams, goals scored, fouls committed, yellow and red cards, and match dates. The dataset was cleaned and preprocessed to remove invalid, redundant, and unnecessary records, ensuring consistency and analytical accuracy. Additional feature engineering was performed by creating custom columns to analyze match dynamics, including identifying cases where teams leading at half-time went on to lose the match, enabling deeper insight into momentum shifts during games. Using DAX, multiple calculated columns and measures were developed to derive key performance indicators such as goal difference, average goals per match, disciplinary trends, and team-wise performance metrics across seasons. The dashboard is structured as a multi-page report with button-based navigation, allowing users to seamlessly explore summary insights, team performance, goal analysis, and aggressive play patterns. This project demonstrates the application of data cleaning, analytical reasoning, DAX-based calculations, and dashboard usability design to transform raw sports data into meaningful, insight-driven visualizations.
